Starting position
On paper, the Red Bulls have a lot in their favor ahead of the fourth final match, as they go into the game with a 3-0 series lead and could crown themselves champions of the ICE Hockey League with another win. The way they have performed in the last two games in particular - only the first was only decided in extra time - is testament to a team performance that, if it can be repeated, will be hard to beat.
On the other hand, Klagenfurt have not yet shown everything that made them winners of the basic round and finalists of the ICE Hockey League. With their backs to the wall and the end of the season looming, the KAC will do everything in their power to steal a march on the Red Bulls and extend the series. In any case, the Red Bulls are preparing for the toughest game of the final series so far, which will also challenge the players mentally.
Focus remains on defense
While the Red Bulls had 8 more shots on goal than the KAC in the second final game in Salzburg, this ratio was reversed in the third game in Klagenfurt. Atte Tolvanen had 26 shots on goal, while Klagenfurt's Sebastian Dahm only had to save 22 shots. Shots that were blocked in defense are not officially counted in the match report. The Red Bulls (9) and the KAC (8) were almost equal in this category in the last home game in Salzburg.
