Red Bull Ice Hockey Academy
The Academy
Europe's most modern youth training centre, the Red Bull junior academy for football and icehockey, opened in Salzburg/Liefering in summer 2014. The Academy is based on a comprehensive and carefully planned concept, and the sporting infrastructure for Academy players is second to none. Players have access to the two ice rinks almost 365 days of the year for training or even individual ice time. The training complex also provides a number of ice hockey-specific off-ice tools as part of its extensive training facilities and creates a unique environment in which upcoming ice hockey professionals can thrive.

Red Bull Eishockey Akademie
The Red Bull Icehockey Academy is home to five teams with players aged 14 years and upward. Starting with the youngest team, the U-15 Red Bull Hockey Academy Team, the teams progress in age group up to the Red Bull Hockey Juniors. On the sporting side, training is focused on international games and participation in international leagues, for example the Czech U16 League or the Alps Hockey League. The players attending the Academy come primarily from Austria and Germany, so that they can be prepared for the two professional teams EC Red Bull Salzburg and EHC Red Bull München. The squads are also bolstered by international players looking to use the Academy as a stepping stone in their careers. In Liefering, national and international 14 to 20-year-old ice hockey players are competently nurtured and helped on their way to becoming top players.
The training is led by internationally recognized coaches who have been working in the youth sector for many years and therefore have the relevant experience. Equally important to us is the personal development of the young people. In a structured social environment, they are given sufficient scope for individual interests and activities.
SCHOOLS
The Red Bull Academy works closely with the following partner schools: Christian Doppler Gymnasium (part of the SSM model), a Private School for Business and Competitive Sports and the Wals Siezenheim Sports Middle School. In cooperation with these schools, it is possible to combine school and sport at a high level. The cooperation includes all school exemptions, private tuition, management of exam dates and the coordination of lessons and training. We also offer individual online school programs for foreign players if required. At the Red Bull Academy, school support and the promotion of personal development are supplemented by sports psychologists and a learning coach. They offer individual support and workshops.
Afternoon care is offered for Salzburg players between school and training. This includes lunch at the academy, supervised learning times and leisure activities.
