The Eisarena Salzburg was built in 1960 and subsequently modernized in 2002 and 2016. In addition to improving the seating quality in grandstand A, the Bulls Lounge (VIP grandstand) was also enlarged and the entire perimeter around the ice rink was modernized.
The ice arena, which is located in the Volksgarten municipal recreation area, offers space for a total of 3,400 visitors and is also suitable for other events in addition to ice skating, especially in summer. The ice arena has two ice rinks (60 x 30 m), one of which is covered and open-air. Since the second ice rink was covered in 2004, it can also be used without restriction in all weather conditions.
The ice arena offers a wide range of ice sports activities such as ice hockey, figure skating, stick sports, short track, formation skating and public skating. During the ice season, the arena is open from 8 a.m. to midnight. The ice arena can also be hired for events during the summer months (mid-April to early August).
