Defender Chay Genoway
“It's good to have the team back together. We're having fun together in training and are looking forward to the first CHL home game. Skellefteå AIK is of course a top team from a top league. They were very good last season and we expect them to be the same this time. It's a big challenge for us to have them in our first game. But in this format, it's important to be ready for every game anyway.”
Head Coach Oliver David
“We already had a tough game in Skellefteå in the CHL opener last season. Even at that early stage, their high level was impressive. It's great that we have them again for the opener and another chance to challenge one of the best teams in Europe.”
Florian Baltram out for longer
For the first time in six CHL seasons, forward Florian Baltram will not be able to play in the premier league. The 27-year-old underwent surgery today (lower body) following recent persistent complaints and is expected to be out for several months.
