Highlights: Red Bull Hockey Juniors vs. HC Asiago
// Juniors
Game summary Asiago had the first chance, with Luca Haitzmann immediately called into action. The Juniors then repeatedly established themselves in the attacking third, but two power play opportunities for the Red Bulls went unused, with Adrian Gesson hitting the crossbar in the 10th minute. With the Juniors leading 15-7 in shots on goal, it was nevertheless the visitors who struck 41 seconds before the break (20th minute), with Tommaso Traversa making it 0-1.
The game became more physical in the second period, with the Juniors continuing to press, but Ryan Valentini converted a breakaway in the 23rd minute to make it 0-2. The response came in the 26th minute when Luca Kogler put the puck under the bar to make it 1-2 after a pass from Maximilian Kirchebner. Another power play for the Juniors did not bring the equalizer; instead, Asiago increased their lead on a counterattack, with Lucas Chiodo scoring in the 33rd minute after a pass from Valentini to make it 1-3. In the final phase of the period, Asiago remained in the attacking zone for even longer and tested Haitzmann several times.
The Juniors kicked into high gear in the final period: Luca Kogler scored twice in the 42nd minute to make it 2-3, and just 14 seconds later (43rd), Nick Maul tied the game at 3-3. Nick Maul completed his brace in the 45th minute to make it 4-3, Paul Schuster increased the lead to 5-3 in the 48th minute, and Jesse Juhola scored on a double power play in the 49th minute to make it 6-3. Asiago responded by changing goalies. After the Juniors were short-handed, Nathan Garau scored on a power play in the 53rd minute to make it 6-4. Asiago pulled their goalie for a sixth field player in the last two minutes of the game, and Jesse Juhola scored his second goal of the game into the empty net in the 60th minute to make it 7-4.

Statement Luca Kogler
“I think we were clearly superior in the first period, but we just shot the puck towards the goal too often instead of following up consistently. The second period was very poor from us. During the intermission, we said that everyone had to give it their all again. We haven't scored more than two goals very often in recent games, so it was important today that we were successful up front again.”
