Game Summary Adam Capannelli created the first big chance for the Rittner Buam after a long build-up pass (2nd minute), but failed to convert. Both teams then looked to score the first goal through quick transitions, with Nico Koschek also testing Gianluca Vallini (4th minute). During their first power play, the South Tyroleans increased the pressure, but the Juniors’ penalty kill, led by Mika Haim, held firm. The Red Bulls also failed to score during their first power play despite several shots on goal, so the game remained scoreless heading into the first intermission.
The second period began at a fast pace with scoring chances on both sides, before the Juniors gradually gained control of the game and spent more time in the offensive zone. Several penalties led to a four-on-three power play for Ritten, which Marco Insam capitalized on to make it 0–1 (32nd minute). Miro Markkula hit the crossbar shortly afterward (32nd minute), before Manuel Öhler, assisted by Leonardo Felicetti, extended the lead to 0–2 from a sharp angle (34th minute). The Juniors sought to close the gap with quick counterattacks but found themselves on the receiving end of a counterattack of their own; Haim stopped Markkula’s breakaway (36th minute). The Red Bulls weathered another shorthanded situation in the closing minutes without conceding a goal.
In the final period, the Juniors earned a power play early on and pressed for the tying goal. Immediately after the penalty expired, Noel Lußnig converted a pass from Lukas Greil from close range for his first goal in the Alps Hockey League, cutting the deficit to 1–2 (44.). The Red Bulls then increased the pressure, but immediately after surviving a penalty kill, Connor Blake scored for Ritten to make it 1–3 (52nd). Just 54 seconds (52.) later, Manuel Öhler capitalized on the rebound from a shot by Josef Prast to make it 1–4, before Miro Markkula took advantage of another power play by the home team to seal the 1–5 final score (56.).

Statement by Head Coach Teemu Levijoki:
“We had our chances, but we didn’t capitalize on them and made things hard on ourselves with unnecessary penalties. Many of them occurred in situations where they simply shouldn’t have happened. Still, I see progress in the right direction. There were a lot of positive aspects, especially in the first and second periods. With three games in one week, the workload was naturally high. Now the players need to keep working hard, take responsibility, and capitalize on their chances.”
