Red Bulls Pre-Season
The Red Bulls will begin their preseason preparations for the 2026/27 season with two games against Czech top-flight teams. On August 12, Salzburg will travel to České Budějovice to face HC Motor České Budějovice, who finished ninth in the regular season of the Tipsport Extraliga last season and were eliminated in the pre-playoffs. The traditional Czech club, with a history spanning over 100 years, will host their guests at the Budvar Arena, which has a capacity of 6,421. České Budějovice's last major success was a third-place finish in the Extraliga in 2022.
Three days later, on August 15, Thomas Raffl and his teammates will travel to Hradec Králové to play Mountfield HK. Mountfield has played in the top Czech league since 2013 and reached the quarterfinals last season, finishing fourth in the regular season. Three years ago, the Czechs achieved their best-ever finish in the top league by reaching the final. Mountfield HK will play its home games at the ČPP Arena, which has a capacity of 6,890 spectators.
Red Bulls Salute
One week later, from August 21–22, the Red Bulls Salute international invitational tournament will take place in Zell am See-Kaprun. EC Red Bull Salzburg will face EHC Red Bull Munich in the opening semifinal. The second semifinal will be contested by top European teams EHC Biel-Bienne and HC Dynamo Pardubice. The Champions Hockey League regular season then begins on September 3. The Red Bulls' opponents will be drawn on May 27 in Zurich. The game schedule will then be finalized.
