36 Peter Hochkofler is staying in Salzburg
A role model forward
Even though Peter Hochkofler only played eight games last season, he remains an important part of the Red Bulls' team structure. His fighting spirit, his high-pressure attacking style, and his many years of experience make him a forward who has earned great respect from both his teammates and opposing players.
Last season, he fought his way back twice after lengthy injuries before suffering a stroke on January 16, which ultimately ended his season. With the support of medical treatment, Hochkofler is now back in full training and aims to regain his form next season – his 12th as a professional in Salzburg, having played for the Red Bulls organization for a total of 16 years. He has won a total of five titles in the win2day ICE Hockey League with the Red Bulls.

Statement by Peter Hochkofler
"Mentally, I still have some things to work on, but otherwise I'm doing well. This is also thanks to the comprehensive support I received from the Red Bulls in all areas – from physiotherapy and medical care to the rehabilitation training at the academy. Now I want to not only build on my past strengths, but also completely rebuild myself physically and mentally and draw new energy from that. I'm happy that my journey here continues; Salzburg has become more than just a club to me. And I want to help the team return to its former success."
Hochkofler participates in the Wings for Life World Run in Volksgarten
Peter Hochkofler's next commitment is already scheduled well before the start of the new season. The forward will participate in the Wings for Life World Run on May 10th, joining six other Red Bulls professionals at the starting line of the App Run, organized by the Red Bulls, in Salzburg's Volksgarten. This is a cause close to Hochkofler's heart; he has regularly participated in the World Run in recent years, supporting the spinal cord research foundation.
