September 29 against Hydro Fehérvár AV19 | Tickets The starting position
After a good start to the basic round of the win2day ICE Hockey League with four points - the 4:3 defeat on penalties in Klagenfurt was followed by a 4:3 home win against Asiago - the Red Bulls will be looking to go one better in their next home game against Székesfehérvár. The Red Bulls, who are without a game in today's Bundesliga round, have enough time to prepare well for the encounter and are also hoping to get some of the seven regular players who have recently been on convalescence back into the line-up.
The Hungarians have started the season with one win and one defeat. The opening win in Bruneck against Pustertal (5:2) was followed by a narrow 3:4 defeat at Pioneers Vorarlberg in Feldkirch. However, it is difficult to work out the team for the time being, as half the squad was replaced in the summer after the disappointing elimination in the quarter-finals of last season against Pustertal - the Hungarians had finished the basic round in second place.
A total of 13 players had to leave the club, while eleven new players were brought in. With Rasmus Reijola, who came from Vaasan Sport, Székesfehérvár is once again relying on the Finnish goalkeeper school. With Csanád Erdély, a homegrown full-blooded forward returns to his home club after a one-year guest appearance in the Danish top league Metal Ligaen in Esbjerg, and 34-year-old defender Martin Stajnoch, who has already signed with the Red Bulls twice in recent years and also became ICE champion with them in 2023, is now passing on his experience in Székesfehérvár.
