In the final period, the Red Bull Hockey Juniors exerted more pressure on the Tyroleans thanks to overpayment opportunities and were thus able to find their game better. It was now an exchange of blows at eye level, with the young Salzburgers creating dangerous chances with their usual quick moves. However, Kitzbühel played smart defensively and defused the Juniors' attacks well. Jannik Fröwis increased the score to 0:8 in the 56th minute and it was only in the final seconds of the game (60th) that Daniel Assavolyuk scored to make the final score 1:8.
