Red Bulls with Ladies Night in first home game against AsiagoThe championship banner is raised before the game// win2day ICE Hockey LeagueEC Red Bull Salzburg will host Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey tomorrow, Sunday, for the first home game of the new win2day ICE Hockey League¬ season at the Eisarena Salzburg (4:30 pm).The first home game of every season in Salzburg is also Ladies Night, which means that all ladies have free admission. In addition, the championship banner from the previous season will be hoisted under the hall ceiling in a ceremonial act directly before the game opens. It will be the ninth banner to bear witness to the Red Bulls' championships in the ICE Hockey League.

The starting position
The Red Bulls go into their first home game of the new win2day ICE Hockey League with great anticipation, having celebrated their third championship title in a row in the spring and now looking to defend their title once again as the big hunted. Yesterday's 4:3 defeat on penalties in Klagenfurt showed just how difficult that will be, as even a 3:1 lead was not enough to seal the deal early.
This is Asiago's third season in the ICE Hockey League and the Italians want to finally reach the playoffs at the third attempt. A new head coach has also been brought in for this. The 52-year-old Canadian Ron Fogarty comes from American college field hockey and has worked as head coach at Princeton University for the past ten years. Asiago will be Fogarty's first appearance in European professional ice hockey, where he will lead a mixture of 15 Italians and 10 North American players onto the ice.
The Red Bulls are doubly warned, because even though they won all four basic round duels last season, all games were only decided in the final third against the fierce Italians. And while tomorrow is the first game for Asiago, who did not play yesterday, the Red Bulls will still have to make do with a squad shaken by injury and illness - Luca Auer is also questionable after yesterday's game.
