Red Bulls start the new championship season in KlagenfurtFamily match days in Salzburg still on the program // win2day ICE Hockey LeagueThe win2day ICE Hockey League today published the schedule for the new 2024/25 season. Reigning champions EC Red Bull Salzburg kick off the season on September 20 with a rematch of last year's final against EC-KAC. The start of the new championship season will be dominated by the eternal duel between the Red Bulls and the EC-KAC. On September 20, champions Salzburg will play in Klagenfurt (7:15 p.m.), returning to the scene of their most recent success in the league opener. The first home game follows on Sunday against Migross Supermercati Asiago Hockey, starting at 4:30 pm in the Eisarena Salzburg.

Families welcome
In the 2024/25 season, the Red Bulls will once again offer family-friendly match times on five Sundays with a start time of 3:00 pm. In addition to special ticket offers for families, there will be action for children on these Family Days in the fan park in front of the main entrance to the ice arena with various program items, depending on the weather.
The first, eagerly awaited clash with the newly formed Moser Medical Graz99ers, including ex-Salzburg players Paul Huber and Tim Harnisch, will take place on November 20 in Graz, with Salzburg's first home game against the Styrians on December 13. And the first away game against Hydro Fehérvár AV19 should be very interesting, as the Hungarians will be playing in their new and ultra-modern Alba Arena from the new season.
Mode remains unchanged
The format for the 2024/25 season remains unchanged and therefore identical to the last three seasons: The top six teams after the end of the basic round on February 21 qualify directly for the quarter-finals. The teams in seventh to tenth place will play in the pre-playoffs (best of three) for the remaining two places in the quarter-finals. The subsequent play-offs are played in best-of-seven mode.
