After two years in the DEL and a season in Finland's top league, Bourke came to Salzburg in 2022, suffered a shoulder injury after the fifth game and then missed the entire basic round. After his comeback, he scored 5 goals and 6 assists in 16 games, making him Salzburg's fourth-best playoff scorer.
Last season, Bourke suffered a broken cheekbone in the final phase of the basic round, but was ready to go again in the playoffs and, with 8 goals and 9 assists in 19 games, was Salzburg's second-best player in the postseason after Thomas Raffl. With 19 goals this season, he also set a personal record in his professional career and was Salzburg's third-best scorer with 48 points.
