Red Bulls' game program until the CHL opener First test on August 9 in Zell am See // Pre SeasonIn preparation for the new 2024/25 ice hockey season, EC Red Bull Salzburg will play three more games in addition to the Red Bulls Salute in Zell am See before the regular season of the Champions Hockey League starts on September 5.
As in the previous year, the Red Bulls will play their first test before the new season in Zell am See against the Swiss first division team EV Zug, who were beaten by the eventual Swiss champions ZSC Lions in the semi-finals last season.
Then, from August 16-17, the win2day ICE Hockey League champions will face the Swiss champions from Zurich in the semi-finals at the Red Bulls Salute in Zell am See, with whom they will also meet again later in the CHL. On the second matchday, the winners from Red Bull Munich will face the Växjö Lakers; the Swedes were also drawn against the Salzburg team in the CHL regular season.
Mixed team at the tournament in Kaufbeuren
After the Red Bulls Salute, Salzburg's national players will begin their preparations with the Austrian team for the Olympic qualifiers in Bratislava at the end of August. At the same time, the Red Bulls will take part in a tournament in Kaufbeuren, where they will face Glasgow Clan (Elite Ice Hockey League) in the semi-finals on August 31. The game against the winner or loser from Jokerit Helsinki (Mestis, 2nd Finnish League) against ESV Kaufbeuren (DEL 2) follows on September 1. The Red Bulls will compete in the tournament in Kaufbeuren with a mixed team of professionals and Red Bull Hockey Juniors due to the absence of national team players.
The regular season of the Champions Hockey League will start on September 5, with the match dates still to be determined.
