As captain and currently a long-serving Red Bulls player, Thomas Raffl is the face of the Salzburg team. The now 37-year-old striker is not only one of the club's top players with his invaluable experience, but also with his performance. Last season, he was once again Salzburg's top scorer with 55 points and also scored by far the most goals (28). Raffl, who celebrated his sixth championship title with the Red Bulls, scored eleven times in the playoffs alone, for which he was named best player of the playoffs (MVP). The veteran has also worn the captain's armband in the Austrian national team for many years and will lead the red-white-red team into its sixth A World Championship next week in Prague. Raffl will be starting his 14th season with the Red Bulls.
