Juniors now hot for second leg 2-goal lead before decisive derby in Zell am See | With fan trip // JuniorsWith yesterday's 3:1 win against EK Die Zeller Eisbären, the Red Bull Hockey Juniors have built up a good lead ahead of the decisive final second leg in Zell am See. It was a tough duel between the Juniors and Zell am See yesterday in the very well-attended Eisarena Salzburg in the first leg of the final for the Austrian AHL championship. Nevertheless, the young Red Bulls team with captain Lukas Hörl was clearly the more active team for long stretches of the game, outplayed the experience and routine of the Pinzgau team with incredible running and commitment and was rewarded with a two-goal lead.

The aggregate score is decisive for the overall victory: The team with the better overall result from both games becomes Austrian AHL champion. A 10-minute overtime (3 vs. 3) and a possible penalty shootout (5 penalties per team, thereafter until the decision) can only take place after the second game if the overall result of both games is tied after 60 minutes.
