After dominating the opening minutes and taking the lead through Maxim Eliseev, the visitors equalized in the second period and briefly turned the game around before Luca Auer made it 2-2. In the final period, Adrian Gesson scored to make it 3-2, but Sterzing equalized again. Just 29 seconds later, Eliseev sealed the home victory with his second goal of the game.

Game summary
The Red Bull Hockey Juniors dominated the opening minutes. They put Broncos goalkeeper Dominik Groh under pressure early on and sought to take the lead. Spurred on by an early power play, the Juniors continued to press, but were thwarted by the South Tyroleans' compact defense. A second power play also went unused, but chances were still there. In the 16th minute, Maxim Eliseev converted a pass from Jesse Juhola with a screened shot to make it 1-0. Shortly thereafter, the Salzburg team had another power play, this time a double, but the visitors defended consistently. The first period ended with the Juniors leading 20-4 in shots on goal.
In the second period, the Red Bulls kept up the offensive pressure. Broncos chances on the power play now brought Juniors goalie Mika Haim, in his first appearance since November, more into the game. In the 24th minute, Florian Lanzinger missed from a sharp angle. In the 26th minute, Davide Conci equalized when he shot from close range from behind the goal, hitting Haim's pad and sending the puck over the line. Penalties on both sides interrupted the rhythm; Sterzing had a 4-on-3 and shortly thereafter a double power play. Immediately after the double power play expired, Jerkko Rämö scored from the blue line in the 31st minute to make it 1-2. The Broncos gained momentum, but the Juniors remained stable. In the 37th minute, Maxim Eliseev launched a quick counterattack and sent a long pass to Luca Auer, who finished solo to make it 2-2. A late power play for Salzburg failed to produce any goals.
At the start of the final period, the Red Bulls carried over a power play from the second period and kept up the pressure. With both teams at full strength, Luca Auer secured the puck behind the goal and found Adrian Gesson in the high slot, who coolly finished to give his team a 3-2 lead in the 42nd minute. The Juniors settled in the offensive zone, but against the run of play, Bryson Cianfrone took advantage of a counterattack in the 50th minute to tie the game at 3-3. The response was swift: just 29 seconds later (50th), Maxim Eliseev scored to make it 4-3 and complete his double. Another power play by Salzburg went unused, and then it was time to defend a shorthanded situation. In an increasingly intense finish, both teams fought for every inch of ice. A late power play gave the Juniors additional control, and the 4-3 home win was sealed.
Now the Austrian championship final against EK Die Zeller Eisbären awaits. It will be played in aggregate score mode with home and away games: the first leg on Thursday, February 12, 2026, in Zell am See, and the second leg on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at the Eisarena Salzburg.
