Paul Oberhauser gave Salzburg an early lead before Cortina tied the game on a power play in the second period. Antons Macijevskis scored the go-ahead goal in the third period, and Edvins Berzins sealed the road victory with an empty-net goal 13 seconds before the end of the game.

Game Summary
The Red Bull Hockey Juniors took an early lead in the game: Paul Oberhauser converted a pass from Noel Lußnig to make it 1-0 (2nd minute). Shortly thereafter, the Red Bulls earned their first power play but were unable to capitalize on it. After the penalty expired, the game opened up, and the Juniors found themselves defending while shorthanded for the first time; however, the penalty kill led by Luca Haitzmann held strong. Just before the first intermission, Dennis Perino hit the post with a shot (19th minute), leaving Salzburg with a narrow lead.
The second period started with physical play, as both teams kept the space in front of their own goals tight. During a power play for Cortina, Marco Sanna scored off a pass from Daniel Joseph Eruzione to tie the game at 1–1 (29th minute). The equalizer gave the home team a boost; Cortina looked to create more scoring chances against Haitzmann, while at the other end, Antons Macijevskis was denied by Dan Isak Eivon Mantler (34th minute). After that, both teams took turns creating chances, but no further goals were scored before the second intermission.
The Red Bulls came out strong to start the final period, with Luca Fischer having an early chance (42nd minute), after which the Juniors turned up the pressure. Cortina held his ground until Salzburg regained the lead with a quick transition: Antons Macijevskis passed to Lukas Greil and deflected his shot to make it 2–1 (53rd minute). In the final two minutes of the game, the home team pulled their goalie for an extra skater, but the Juniors defended resolutely. With 13 seconds left in the game (60th minute), Edvins Berzins scored into the empty net off a pass from Isak Norlin, sealing the 3–1 final score.

Statement from Head Coach Teemu Levijoki:
“After our last few games, this win is exactly what we needed. Playing this late in the evening isn’t exactly easy. We handled our transition game better today, played smarter overall, and took significantly fewer penalties. That helped us. Still, we need to keep learning to take what the game gives us and make the right decisions in crucial situations. It was a step in the right direction, but we still have a long way to go.”
