Pictures of the Red Bulls duel 2025
The game between the two Red Bull clubs is particularly exciting for forwards Adam Brooks, who moved from Munich to Salzburg in the summer, and Lucas Thaler, who made the move from Salzburg to Munich. Both forwards have now integrated well into their new teams and are looking forward to the clash with their respective former teams.
Statement by Adam Brooks, forward, EC Red Bull Salzburg
"It's a great opportunity to showcase what we work for every day. Furthermore, the fans have the chance to see both Red Bull teams in a top-class tournament. I'm looking forward to seeing many of my teammates from last year in Munich and expect a good game, especially since we play similar systems. But on the ice, there are no friends."
Statement by Lucas Thaler, forward for EHC Red Bull Munich
"The Red Bulls Salute is always something special, and we're really looking forward to this challenge with three strong opponents. Playing against Salzburg is, of course, extra exciting for me. I'm looking forward to seeing the guys again, but naturally, we want to win the game."
Slight advantage for Munich
EC Red Bull Salzburg, the record holder with ten titles in the win2day ICE Hockey League, and four-time German champion EHC Red Bull Munich have faced each other six times in the past. The German club won three times, the Austrian twice. One game ended 0-0; in January 2019, the teams played to a scoreless draw in Munich in the first leg of the CHL semifinal, with Munich winning the return leg 3-1 in Salzburg a week later. Munich won their most recent encounter a year ago at the Red Bulls Salute in the bronze medal game, 6-2.

In the event of a foul, the game is stopped and the subsequent face-off takes place in the offending team's defensive zone.
- Game duration: 3 x 20 minutes with an 18-minute intermission
- If the score is tied after 60 minutes, a 5-minute overtime period with 3-on-3 skaters will be played
