Luca Auer stays
Luca Auer wants to finally make his breakthrough
The 21-year-old forward learned to play ice hockey in the EC Red Bull Salzburg youth program, subsequently progressed through the Red Bull Ice Hockey Academy, and won the ICE Young Stars League (U20) title with the academy team in 2021. Later that same year, the forward, who grew up in Oberndorf near Salzburg, made his debut on the Salzburg professional team and scored his first goal in the win2day ICE Hockey League in February 2022.
In the following years, Auer increasingly made the leap to the professional team, contributing to the Red Bulls' last four ICE Hockey League titles. Simultaneously, he took the opportunity to further develop his skills and gain additional playing experience with the Red Bull Hockey Juniors in the Alps Hockey League. Last season, he played a total of 12 AHL games, scoring 5 goals and 8 assists. In the win2day ICE Hockey League, he appeared in 48 games (including playoffs), recording 2 goals and 3 assists. Next season, Auer aims to take on even more responsibility and is striving for a regular spot on the Salzburg professional team.
The Red Bulls thank Luca Auer for his commitment and performance last season and look forward to playing with him again next season.
