Atte Tolvanen
Consistency has a name
When Atte Tolvanen arrived in Salzburg five years ago, he impressed from the start, finishing his first season with the Red Bulls with the win2day ICE Hockey League title. Three more titles followed, and Tolvanen was also named MVP of the playoffs three times. Last season, he posted a save percentage of 91.4% in the regular season, nearly matching his performance from the two previous seasons. Together with goaltender David Kickert, he ensured that the Red Bulls consistently ranked among the league's best defenses last season.

For the past year, Tolvanen, who acquired Austrian citizenship in addition to his Finnish citizenship in December 2024, has also been eligible to play for the Austrian national team. Last year, he played one game for Team Austria at the World Championship in Sweden (before having to leave for family reasons). The new father is hoping for more playing time at the upcoming World Championship in Switzerland.
The Red Bulls thank Atte Tolvanen for his commitment and performance last season and look forward to playing together again next season.
