Red Bulls part ways with Manny Viveiros// Team updateEC Red Bull Salzburg and Head Coach Manny Viveiros will no longer be working together next season. The club's management made this decision after reviewing the disappointing last season.
Manny Viveiros took over as head coach of EC Red Bull Salzburg in the summer of 2025, having already worked as a coach in Austria for many years until 2014. The 60-year-old Canadian led the Red Bulls to a third-place finish in the 2025/26 win2day ICE Hockey League regular season, but the team was eliminated in the subsequent playoff quarterfinals by HC Falkensteiner Pustertal with a straight-sets defeat.
Helmut Schlögl, Managing Director Pro
"We didn't make this decision lightly. After the performance of what we believe to be a top-tier team last season and a thorough analysis, we've come to the conclusion that we must end our collaboration with Head Coach Manny Viveiros. Unfortunately, we were unable to achieve our sporting objectives this season, which is why we feel compelled to take this step. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Manny for his work and his daily commitment to our organization. We wish him all the best for his future, both personally and professionally."
