Game summary
The Juniors played physically from the start, but found themselves shorthanded early on. Back at full strength, the young Salzburg team took control again, while Bregenzerwald goalie Lorenz Widhalm kept things tight at first. In the 10th minute, Maxim Eliseev, in combination with Jesse Juhola, forced a mistake by the hosts, moved into the high slot and scored to make it 1-0. Shortly thereafter, the Red Bulls took advantage of their first power play: Florian Lanzinger increased the lead to 2-0 (12th minute) after sustained pressure. The home team had no answer to the visitors' pace, and Nikita Bloch made it 3-0 in the 13th minute. The Juniors controlled the game with clever passing combinations. In the 17th minute, Luca Auer broke away and scored to make it 4-0. Shortly before the end of the period (20th minute), Paul Oberhauser finished off a strong forecheck by Tobias Koller and Adrian Gesson to make it 5-0.
In the second period, EC Bregenzerwald got into the game better and once again had an early power play opportunity. The Vorarlberg team settled into the Red Bulls' zone, but Luca Haitzmann made several strong saves. Back to five-on-five, the hosts consistently sought the goal before the Juniors regained momentum. Haitzmann made a spectacular save in a 2-on-1 situation for the home team. In the 35th minute, Nico Kramer shot the puck on goal; an unfortunate deflection by a Salzburg player led to the score becoming 1-5. A late power play for the Juniors in the middle period went unused.
The final period saw an open game with chances at both ends. The Juniors skillfully kept their opponents away from their own goal, while repeatedly sending pucks towards Widhalm without initially adding to their tally. Another power play also went unused. In the 59th minute, Ben Grasser converted a counterattack to make it 2-5. The immediate response came on a power play: Maxim Eliseev made it 6-2 in the 60th minute. With this commanding away win, the Red Bull Hockey Juniors secured their third victory in a row.

Head Coach Teemu Levijoki
“We played very well in the first period and put in a very strong offensive performance. In the second period, we allowed ourselves to be drawn into too many penalties, even though we had discussed this in the locker room. Luca Haitzmann kept us in the game with some very strong saves. In the third period, we controlled the game well again and played cleanly defensively.”
