Game Summary
The game started at a high tempo, with both teams trading blows. However, the Juniors quickly shifted the game largely into the offensive zone, keeping the visiting defense busy. Shortly after a power play ended, Luca Kogler fired a shot from distance to give the Juniors the lead. Visiting goalie Colin Furlong got a hand to it, but couldn't keep it out. The Juniors continued to press, with their goalie Luca Haitzmann only occasionally called into action. The home team capitalized on their second power play, with Maxim Eliseev scoring hard from the right face-off circle (11th minute). Towards the end of the first period, the visitors became more dangerous, creating several dangerous situations in front of the Juniors' net. However, Luca Haitzmann was up to the task, preserving the 2-0 lead going into the first intermission.
In the second period, the visitors took control. They were now rotating their players in the offensive zone and creating scoring opportunities. Luca Haitzmann thwarted several scoring opportunities, but was ultimately beaten by Brandon Alderson's deflected shot in a 4-on-4 situation (24th minute). The visitors maintained their level of play, while the Juniors pressed forward and became dangerous again. However, the Italians equalized on a 2-on-1 breakaway, with Leonardo Felicetti finding himself open for a shot (32nd minute). The game became more physical, partly because the Juniors increased their intensity and created more scoring chances. Alexander Rebernig was unlucky on a rebound (33rd minute). However, a deflected power-play goal by Leonardo Felicetti gave the visitors the lead (40th minute), turning the game around with three goals.
In the final period, the Juniors again dominated possession. The game remained evenly matched, however, with the Juniors' quick attacks not always finding the net or being stopped by the Ritten goaltender, who had adjusted well. The Juniors invested everything in attack and played some beautiful combinations at a relentlessly high tempo. In the end, they focused almost exclusively on the visitors' goal, but the Juniors couldn't add to their tally and ultimately suffered a narrow defeat.

"We didn't play our best game and took a lot of penalties against the best power play team in the league. Once we fell behind, it was difficult to turn things around, and in the end, we just missed out on the equalizer."
