Salzburg took a 2-0 lead in the first period thanks to goals from Lukas Greil and Jesse Juhola, before Sisak pulled one back before the break. After the score was tied at 2-2, Luca Auer and Greil again responded with two goals in the second period. In the final stages, Maxim Eliseev sealed the 5-2 final score.

Game summary Both teams started with chances, with the Juniors initially creating the clearer opportunities. However, KHL goalie Vilim Rosandić made several strong saves. Salzburg's first power play went unused. In the 16th minute, 17-year-old Lukas Greil deflected a shot from Paul Lemke in front of the goal to make it 1-0. With 55 seconds left in the period (20th), Maxim Eliseev passed to Jesse Juhola at the far post, who made it 2-0. Sisak responded immediately: after an offensive face-off, Nejc Brus scored just 37 seconds later (20th) into the far corner to make it 2-1.
Sisak came out of the dressing room with a bang and tied the game at 2-2 in the 25th minute with a solo effort from Vito Idžan. Shortly afterwards, Eliseev failed to beat Rosandić on his own solo run. In the 28th minute, Luca Auer powered through and converted Juhola's pass to restore the lead. The Juniors survived a two-man advantage for the Croatians (32nd minute) with compact defense and quick relief. In the 36th minute, there was danger in front of the Salzburg goal, but Haitzmann remained alert. As the siren sounded for the end of the second period (40th minute), Greil scored his second goal of the game, assisted by Nick Maul and Fabian Baumann, to make it 4-2.
In the final period, Sisak pushed hard for the equalizer early on, but the Juniors defended well and increasingly found their way back into the game. Both teams took turns applying pressure, and the match remained intense and physical. In the 57th minute, Eliseev finally decided the game with a strong solo effort to make it 5-2.
