Game report
The Juniors started strongly and established themselves in the offensive third early on. A power play interrupted their rhythm, but the Red Bulls still managed to create a good chance: Vadim Schreiner skated alone towards Jesenice goalie Us, but failed to score (6th minute). Back at full strength, an open game developed with chances at both ends. Shortly before the end of the period, the Slovenians took the initiative. In the 16th minute, Tjas Lesničar converted a pass from Erik Svetina with a direct shot into the short corner of Valentin Ankirchner's goal to take a 0-1 lead. The Red Bulls responded with periods of pressure, but couldn't find a way past Us Zan before the break and defended another shorthanded situation well.
After the restart, Salzburg pushed forward, but Jesenice remained efficient: David Baloh scored in the 26th minute to make it 0-2. The Juniors reacted immediately. Just 35 seconds later, Adrian Gesson captured the puck in his own zone, carried it across the ice, and decisively narrowed the gap to 1-2 (26th minute). Shortly thereafter, while shorthanded, they managed to equalize: Maximilian Wurzer coolly finished a counterattack in the 28th minute to make it 2-2. The momentum finally shifted to the Juniors. In the 33rd minute, Maxim Eliseev scored to make it 3-2 after strong work from Jesse Juhola and Paul Schuster. Shortly before the end of the second period, captain Nick Maul made it 4-2 (38th minute), again while shorthanded.
Both teams remained active in the final period. The young Salzburg team's first two power play opportunities did not yield any results, but in another power play, Jakob Schnabl scored from the high slot to make it 5-2 (50th minute), assisted by Florian Lanzinger and Nick Maul. Jesenice tried to close the gap in the final minutes, but slowed themselves down with another penalty. In the 57th minute, Nikita Bloch scored to make it 6-2, his first goal in the Alps Hockey League. The Juniors confidently held on to their lead and climbed back to the top of the table with the home win.

Forward Nikita Bloch
“We didn't play our best game today, but we still took advantage of our chances and won. The home win was the most important thing for us. I was very happy about my first goal, but even more so about the win. We made a good comeback. I really enjoy playing in this team, everyone has been very welcoming.”
