Game report
The Juniors quickly found their rhythm. In the fourth minute, Benedikt Krainer took advantage of a pass from Paul Oberhauser and scored on a solo effort to make it 1-0. The Salzburg team then created a number of chances, spending long periods in the attacking third and regularly testing HCU goalie Tizian Giovanelli. Jesse Juhola made it 2-0 in the 17th minute, and Vadim Schreiner added another just 71 seconds later (18th) to make it 3-0. The first intermission came with a shot ratio of 19-3.
Unterland switched Laurin Foppa into goal for the second period and came out of the locker room with renewed energy. After 26 seconds (21st), Erik Potsinok scored to make it 1-3. The Cavaliers became more active, creating power play situations, but the Juniors defended disciplined and only allowed shots from outside. At the other end, Maximilian Wurzer followed up in the slot and made it 4-1 in the 30th minute. Unterland remained aggressive, but Salzburg countered with compact penalty killing and controlled the final phase of the period more clearly.
The Red Bulls kept up the pressure in the final period. Benedikt Krainer deflected a shot from Moritz Warnecke in the 46th minute to make it 5-1. The young Salzburg team survived a subsequent power play and a period of double shorthanded play without conceding a goal, finishing with a perfect penalty kill record (7/7). After a double power play for the Juniors, the next goal came shortly after the penalties expired: Fabian Baumann converted a pass from Wurzer with a one-timer in the 56th minute to make it 6-1. Erik Potsinok (56th) scored almost immediately to make it 2-6, but Maximilian Wurzer put the final nail in the coffin in the 58th minute with his second goal to make it 7-2. With 44-19 shots on goal and a commanding defensive performance, the Juniors made a convincing restart after the November break.

Head Coach Teemu Levijoki
“Scoring seven goals away from home is a remarkable achievement. But we also had a bit of luck on our side and the puck bounced our way today. This was our first game after the November break, during which we had several players on the national teams. It's good that we've come back strong in the league.”
