Red Bull Eishockey Akademie | IIHF November-Break
For the youth teams from Germany, Austria, and Italy, this meant participating in six Four Nations tournaments as well as other international matches and training camps throughout Europe.

ÖEHV: Strong Salzburg presence in U16, U18, and U20
U16 – 4-Nation Tournament in Kranj (SLO)
The following academy players were selected for Austria's U16 team at the Four Nations Tournament in Kranj: Luc Schneider, Matteo Filippitsch, Benedikt Huber, Nicolas Hudritsch, Leo Brandstätter, Lucas Gritznig, Ruben Kranz, Rafael Latusa, and Maximilian Spielmann.
The results:
Austria vs. Italy: 0:4
Hungary vs. Austria: 2:1
Slovenia vs. Austria: 6:7 OT
The last game against host Slovenia in particular turned into an offensive spectacle. The goals for Austria were scored by Lucas Gritznig, Leo Brandstätter, Rafael Latusa (three goals) and Matteo Filippitsch, among others.
U18 – 4 Nations Tournament in Budapest (HUN)
Austria's U18 team competed in Budapest, Hungary, with a strong contingent from Salzburg: Martin Haim, Gabriel Lemberger, Dominik Ferner, Josias Grossberger, Nico Koschek, Paul Schuster, and Muhammed Sheihani were all part of the squad.
The results:
Austria vs. Slovenia: 4:1
Hungary vs. Austria: 3:0
Italy vs. Austria: 3:5
The team shone with a compact performance in their opening victory against Slovenia. The final game against Italy turned into a real thriller, which Austria won 5:3. Particularly noteworthy: Nico Koschek scored shortly before the end to make it 4:3, and Paul Schuster sealed the victory with two goals, including an empty-net goal shortly before the end of the game. The U18 team finished the tournament with two wins from three games.
U20 – 4 Nations Tournament in Stavanger (NOR)
The Austrian U20 team was represented by ten academy players at the Four Nations Tournament in Stavanger: Mika Haim, Luca Haitzmann, Leon Bader, Fabian Baumann, Jakob Schnabl, Adrian Gesson, Luca Kogler, Tobias Koller, Benedikt Krainer, and Paul Oberhauser.
The results:
Latvia vs. Austria: 6:2
Austria vs. Norway: 3:4
Denmark vs. Austria: 2:7
After two defeats against Latvia and host Norway, the team made a clear statement: in the final game against top division team Denmark, Austria won convincingly 7:2. From the academy's point of view, the three goals scored by Benedikt Krainer and the goals scored by Jakob Schnabl, Paul Oberhauser, and Tobias Koller are particularly noteworthy. In goal, Luca Haitzmann played his part in the statement victory.

DEB: Valuable experiences in Finland, France, Norway, and Füssen
U16 – International tournament in Vierumäki (FIN)
The German U16 team faced host Finland three times in Vierumäki. Roman Funk, Linus Frank, Lian-Maxim Hergert, and Mika Stamms were selected for the Red Bull Ice Hockey Academy. Despite losing all three games, the players learned a lot in intense matches against a top nation and got used to the fast pace.
U17 – Four Nations Tournament in Vaujany (FRA)
Bastian Bauer, Dennis Beckel, Nikita Bloch, and Nikolai Hartmann were in the DEB U17 squad for the Four Nations Tournament in Vaujany. The team faced Switzerland, Slovakia, and host France. In addition to a shootout victory against Slovakia and a narrow overtime defeat against France, the young squad gained important international experience.
U18 – Four Nations Tournament in Lillehammer (NOR)
The German U18 team traveled to Lillehammer to compete in a four-nation tournament against opponents such as Norway, Slovakia, and Denmark. Two academy players, Daniil Sladkov and Vyacheslav Permitin, were permanent members of the squad. The team finished in second place after defeating Norway in the final standings.
U20 – Training camp with international matches in Füssen (GER)
The DEB U20 team held a training camp in Füssen, which included three international matches against Finland. Nick Maul was a regular player, while Moritz Warnecke was on standby. The focus here was clearly on squad selection and preparation for the upcoming World Championship.

David Bertignoll took to the ice with the Italian U16 national team at the four-nation tournament in Kranj, contributing a goal in the victory over Austria.
Italy: Academy player in action at U20 home tournament
At the Four Nations Tournament in Egna/Neumarkt (ITA), Josef Prast, another player from the Red Bull Ice Hockey Academy, was in the Italian U20 national team squad and contributed an assist in the game against Hungary.
Congratulations to the national players
The Red Bull Ice Hockey Academy congratulates all its players on their successful performances with their respective junior national teams. Whether in Finland, France, Norway, Hungary, Slovenia, Italy, or Germany, the 39 regular players of the Red Bull Ice Hockey Academy showed during the November break that they can hold their own on the international stage.
