Game report
The game started evenly, but Sterzing had the first big chance: Connor Sanvido ran alone towards Mika Haim in the 2nd minute. Shaken awake, the Juniors increased the tempo and put the emphasis on offense. In the 6th minute, Nick Maul put the young Salzburg team 1-0 ahead after a pass from Nico Koschek. The Broncos then became more active and put the Red Bulls under increasing pressure. The hosts failed to capitalize on a power play. With five against five, an open exchange of blows developed before Davide Conci took advantage of a mistake in the Salzburg defense in the 15th minute and scored from the high slot to make it 1-1. Another power play for the Juniors ended the first period.
The game became more physical in the middle period. The Broncos were penalized, giving the league's best power play its first opportunity, but they were unable to capitalize against the home team's consistent penalty killing. As time progressed, the Juniors regained control and rotated dangerously in the offensive zone. Sterzing, for their part, remained alert and waited for counterattacks. In the 29th minute, league top scorer Maxim Eliseev appeared in front of Czech goalkeeper Dominik Groh after a pass from Florian Lanzinger and made it 2-1. Another power play came to nothing. In the 36th minute, Eliseev increased the lead to 3-1 with his second goal after a pass from Jesse Juhola.
The Juniors dominated play at the start of the final period before a penalty briefly shifted the momentum. Back at full strength, Eliseev struck again, converting Juhola's pass with a direct shot to make it 4-1 (46). Salzburg then controlled the game, while the Broncos visibly lost momentum and created few chances. Goalie Mika Haim confidently defused these chances for the Juniors and repeatedly shifted the game into the offensive zone. In an intense final few minutes, the game became rougher as both teams sought further goals, but the Red Bull Hockey Juniors played out their 4-1 lead with concentration. After ten games, the Juniors have 20 points and are in contention for the top of the table.

Head Coach Teemu Levijoki
"We anticipated a very intense game, and that's exactly what we got. Sterzing is not an easy place for us to play; we've only won here twice in the past, but we played very well today. Especially considering that we had three games this week and only played our last game yesterday. Sometimes a tight schedule can even be an advantage. I'm particularly proud that we only conceded three goals in these three games and scored eleven ourselves. We're heading in the right direction and getting better with every game. However, it's still early in the season; at the moment, we're in a good position to continue."
