Red Bulls face four reigning champions in the CHLMario Huber: “This will be a real endurance test.”// CHLEC Red Bull Salzburg faces tough opponents in the CHL 2025/26, including Berlin, Bremerhaven, Tychy, KalPa, Ilves, and Odense. The draw took place in Stockholm; the earliest game day is August 28.

In Salzburg, the Red Bulls will welcome the reigning German champions Eisbären Berlin, the Pinguins Bremerhaven and the current Polish champions GKS Tychy. Finnish champions KalPa Kuopio, record-breaking club Ilves Tampere (16 Finnish championship titles) and Danish champions Odense Bulldogs await on the road.

In total, Salzburg will play two matches against German teams, two against Finnish teams and one each against a Polish and a Danish representative.

Forward Mario Huber:
“We have to be ready for the start of the season and think from game to game. We're up against some really good teams and we have to be in playoff mode right away. It's really cool that we can compete with top teams from Europe again, but it will be another tough task for us. The teams have a lot of individual class - it will be a real acid test for us. We have to deliver our A-game against opponents like this.”

Mode | Regular Season and Playoffs
24 teams play in the regular season. Each drawn team is played once. This means that each team has six games in the CHL Regular Season, three at home and three away, against six different opponents. Teams from the same league cannot be drawn together.
The results of the regular season (3-point ranking) are used to produce a ranking of all 24 teams. The first 16 teams qualify for the play-off round of 16, with 1st playing against 16th, 2nd against 15th and so on. This results in the playoff tree up to the final. The playoff matches are decided in a first and second leg, with the total number of goals (aggregate score) being decisive in the event of a tie. Only the final is played in an all-important match.
