“It was exciting for me on the first day”U9 player Jonas Bauer with insights into his eventful ice hockey life // Juniors Around 170 children are currently training with the Red Bulls' junior team, divided into beginners and 5 age groups from U7 to U15. The continuing demand is pushing the ice arena almost to its capacity limit, but makes the Red Bulls all the happier.
For some, it is the impressive ice machine with the cool Red Bull print, for others it is a star of the professional team that arouses interest in ice hockey. For Jonas Bauer, a player in the Red Bulls' U9 team, it was somehow both. And also a bit like his big sister Marie, who dedicated herself to figure skating at an early age. The eight-year-old from Salzburg has now been with the team for over three years and never misses a training session.
It will be interesting to see where Jonas' journey takes him. Ice hockey is his life and he can well imagine becoming a professional ice hockey player one day. His father René and coach Mathias Barth also have faith in the bright youngster, who continues to practice at home even after training is over. We asked all three of them in front of the camera.
If you've got a taste for it now, then take a look at the video of our last Ice Hockey 1x1. Anyone who simply wants to try out ice hockey can take part. Without much equipment or previous knowledge. You can find the upcoming dates here - the initiative will return to the Eisarena Salzburg next season.
