Four top-class games, an enthusiastic crowd and a new tournament winner in the form of the Växjö Lakers from Sweden - the 17th Red Bulls Salute made the heart of every ice hockey fan beat faster even before the start of the new season. The match for third place between the Red Bulls from Salzburg and Munich, which the Salzburgers won 4:2 in the fifth meeting in the history of the two clubs, was particularly celebrated by two different fan camps. Previous record: two wins each for Salzburg and Munich, one draw (CHL).

Beautiful moments of the Red Bull duel
National team players no longer in Salzburg
The Red Bulls resumed training today after a short break. Six Austrian national team players (David Kickert, Paul Stapelfeldt, Mario Huber, Benjamin Nissner, Peter Schneider and Lucas Thaler; Thomas Raffl and Ali Wukovits are still in Salzburg due to illness), who have traveled to Graz to prepare for the Olympic qualifiers.
Starting next week, the pros will train together with the Red Bull Hockey Juniors in order to familiarize themselves with each other. The tournament in Kaufbeuren, where the Red Bulls will compete with a mixed team of ICE and AHL players, awaits on the weekend of Aug. 31/Sep. 1.
