Julian Lutz in the Academy TalkJulian Lutz signs first NHL contract in Utah// academy talkThe 20-year-old forward talks in Academy Talk about his journey from the academy to signing his first NHL contract with the newly formed team in Utah.Julian joined the Red Bull Ice Hockey Academy at the age of twelve. This time had a significant impact on him and laid the foundation for his successful career. In the summer of 2022, he was drafted 43rd overall by the Arizona Coyotes, which was a significant milestone in his career.
After being drafted, Julian continued his development with Red Bull Munich and won the 2023 DEL Championship with the team. Last season, he played with the Green Bay Gamblers in the UCHL, where he scored 26 goals and gave 46 assists in 56 games.
Julian has now signed his first professional contract with the new NHL team in Utah, which will take over the Arizona Coyotes' license for the upcoming season. He will spend the summer preparing for the coming season in the familiar surroundings of the Red Bull Ice Hockey Academy. Julian is currently training there in order to prepare himself optimally for the coming season.
