Eisarena Salzburg has the best iceThe ice hockey players' union UNION has asked around // win2day ICE Hockey LeagueA survey recently conducted by Younion - a trade union representing more than 145,000 members from 200 different professional groups throughout Austria - shed light on many interesting topics from the Austrian professional ice hockey world.
Conducted by the Ice Hockey Players' UNION, a specialist group of Younion, 150 players from the ICE Hockey League took part in the survey, providing insights into the views and thoughts of the league's protagonists.
Salzburg with the best ice quality
When asked which ice rink in the league offers the best ice quality, 31.4% of all respondents put the Salzburg Ice Arena in first place. This was followed by the arenas in Bolzano (17%), Pustertal (Bruneck, 13.1%) and Klagenfurt (8.5%).

Lukas Haudum best player 2023/24
Lukas Haudum, who recently moved from the KAC to the Graz99ers, was voted the best player of the past season. The 26-year-old forward won the vote with a record result of 24%. Incidentally, Benjamin Nissner won this category in the previous season. Austria's team manager Roger Bader is also pleased: “This confirms the Austrian path that we are trying to implement as the ÖEHV. The clubs should give more and more Austrian players the chance to gain a foothold in the league.”

Which team is the most difficult to play against?
Here too, the Red Bulls were named in first place (32%), closely followed by Klagenfurt with 29.4%. Bolzano came third with 21.6%.
