Red Bulls want to keep clean sheet against GrazLast home game for the next 16 days // win2day ICE Hockey League EC Red Bull Salzburg will play a home game against the Moser Medical Graz99ers in the win2day ICE Hockey League tomorrow, Friday (7:15 p.m., Student Hockey Night). The Red Bulls have won the previous three matches against the team from Styria at the bottom of the table and will be looking for a fourth success in front of their own fans. The next home game will be after the international break on February 18 against Feldkirch.
The starting position
Six rounds before the end of the basic round, the Red Bulls (77 points) are fighting to catch up with the top of the table, i.e. the two leaders Klagenfurt (87 points) and Székesfehérvár (82 points). On the one hand, the aim is to achieve at least second place in the final standings in order to qualify for next season's CHL and, on the other, to consolidate and improve their own performance in order to be prepared for the upcoming playoffs.
The Moser Medical Graz99ers are bottom of the ICE Hockey League and have no chance of reaching a pre-playoff place. The team for the new season is already being worked on in the background.
Not to be underestimated
On paper, the Red Bulls go into the encounter as clear favorites and have won the three duels so far this season. However, even against the team currently bottom of the table, each victory had to be hard and patiently earned. All three games ended with only a one-goal difference, and the first home game in mid-September last year even went into overtime.
The biggest danger now posed by the Styrians is the fact that they have nothing to lose and can go into the game completely unconcerned. Moreover, despite the hopeless situation in the table, they will not come to Salzburg to give away points, but will try to give the reigning champions and favorites a leg up and secure their first win of the season in Salzburg.

"They have nothing left to lose and that makes it dangerous indeed. They can annoy us and we have to be ready for that. It's a question of mindset, not taking the game too lightly. As long as we train well, follow our process and do the right things in the game, we'll get through it."
