Red Bulls want to return to winning ways at homeLukas Schreier calls for consistent performance over 60 minutes against Ljubljana// win2day ICE Hockey LeagueFor EC Red Bull Salzburg, the win2day ICE Hockey League continues tomorrow, Friday, with a home game against HK SŽ Olimpija (19:15, livestream).

The starting position The Red Bulls went into the international break as league leaders at the beginning of November, but have suffered defeats in Klagenfurt and Vienna since last Sunday and are now trying to fight their way back into the old successful game mode. At least Tim Harnisch and Ryan Murphy will return to the squad for the game against Ljubljana; both had to sit out yesterday's supplementary game in Vienna due to the league's gamebook requirements.
As a result, Salzburg remain in third place in the table, but still level on points with Linz (1st) and Székesfehérvár (2nd). The Slovenians are currently in 10th place, but that was already of little significance in the last two games against Vienna, who won against the Red Bulls in second-to-last place.
The Red Bulls are therefore preparing for the game against Ljubljana, who won 3-2 after a shootout in Innsbruck just last week. The narrow 3:2 victory in Ljubljana at the beginning of October, in which the Slovenians turned up the heat in the final third and gave Salzburg's defense a real task, is still fresh in their minds and is warning enough for tomorrow's game.
Facts about the game The Slovenians are fighting for a pre-play-off place (7th-10th) and have bounced back in November after a poor October with three wins from their last six games. They are also playing more successfully away than at home, winning 60% of their away games as the fourth-best away team. At home, they have only celebrated two wins in eleven games. The Red Bulls, on the other hand, are the best home team in the league (together with Klagenfurt) and have won nine out of ten games.
This is also the clash between the two youngest teams in the league. Ljubljana has an average age of 25.3 years, while the Red Bulls have an average age of 25.4.
Defenceman Lukas Schreier
"It's still a big step up, but tomorrow we have our next chance. We're using every training session more to get back to our system, to create chances again and start scoring goals. We're familiar with situations like this from recent years and have usually come out of them stronger. We move on and prepare for the next game. Ljubljana are very offensive and have a good power play. We want to counter that with a consistent game over 60 minutes and deliver our performance."
