The starting position
The Red Bulls went into the international break as league leaders at the beginning of November, but have suffered defeats in Klagenfurt and Vienna since last Sunday and are now trying to fight their way back into the old successful game mode. At least Tim Harnisch and Ryan Murphy will return to the squad for the game against Ljubljana; both had to sit out yesterday's supplementary game in Vienna due to the league's gamebook requirements.
As a result, Salzburg remain in third place in the table, but still level on points with Linz (1st) and Székesfehérvár (2nd). The Slovenians are currently in 10th place, but that was already of little significance in the last two games against Vienna, who won against the Red Bulls in second-to-last place.
The Red Bulls are therefore preparing for the game against Ljubljana, who won 3-2 after a shootout in Innsbruck just last week. The narrow 3:2 victory in Ljubljana at the beginning of October, in which the Slovenians turned up the heat in the final third and gave Salzburg's defense a real task, is still fresh in their minds and is warning enough for tomorrow's game.
