HOW CAN I APPLY FOR A PLACE AT THE ACADEMY?
For your application, please fill out the online form.
WHEN WOULD YOU RECOMMEND AN APPLICATION AND FOR WHICH SEASON?
You should apply for the upcoming U15 season. This is the earliest application date. Example: Your son is born 2011. The earliest application month would be September 2024, for the season 2025/26.
IS THERE A FIXED TIME FOR OUR APPLICATION OR A TRY-OUT?
No, there is not. But, it is important to apply approximately one year ahead. See answer above.
HOW DO YOU PICK THE PLAYERS FOR A SPOT AT THE ACADEMY?
On the one hand we do scouting, on the other hand through the public online application form.
WHAT HAPPENS WITH OUR APPLICATION, WHEN WE HAVE SENT IT IN?
Our sports department is checking the application. If the player is a possible candidate for a place at the Academy, he will be invited to a Try-Out.
I HAVE UPLOADED THE APPLICATION, BUT HAVEN’T RECEIVED AN ANSWER YET. WHAT CAN I DO?
Firstly, thank you for your application. The evaluation can take some time, but first you could take a look at question number 2 and see, if you have a high priority for the upcoming season.
WHAT LANGUAGES ARE NECESSARY?
Fluent German and/or English, not only for the sport, but also for the school education.
WHICH AVERAGE GRADES ARE NECESSARY?
Firstly, sport skills are the most important criteria for us. However, a positive certificate from your last school year is a requirement.
WHAT KIND OF SCHOOL PROGRAMS DO YOU OFFER?
For German speakers we work closely together with the SSM/Nachwuchsleistungssport-Model Salzburg and have educational agreements with our partner schools Christian-Doppler-Gymnasium & Sport-HAS Salzburg. Alternatively, we offer E-Learning programs for our internationals.
REGARDING PRACTICE AND SCHOOL – WHAT DOES A TYPICAL DAY LOOK LIKE?
We can’t give you a general answer to this question. The coordination between sports and school is closely and perfectly coordinated for the student’s needs.
WHAT ARE THE COSTS FOR A SPOT AT THE ACADEMY?
The costs depend on multiple factors and cannot be named at this application stage. If the applicant is invited for a Try-Out, the topic ‘costs & financing’ will be part of the interview.
WHAT DOES THE TRY-OUT LOOK LIKE?
We start with a guided tour to every corner of the Academy. During the Try-Out period, there will be a few on-ice practices as well as some off-ice practices. Additionally, we have a physio therapeutic screening, an interview with the educational management and an interview with our sports management.
