Across Lake Zell to the Red Bulls Salute 2026Relaxed Atmosphere at the Welcome Event// Red Bulls Salute The international invitational tournament Red Bulls Salute was traditionally kicked off with the Welcome Event. All teams traveled by boat to a joint dinner and exchange ideas.

Just as the MS Schmittenhöhe was about to depart, the sky over Lake Zell cleared, allowing access to the open decks and offering the players and coaches of the participating teams a magnificent view of the mountain panorama at the Red Bulls Salute. A good half hour later, the ship docked at the pier by the Seecamp Restaurant by Rudi Eder, where a sumptuous buffet awaited. This provided ample opportunity to catch up and reminisce about their often shared past.

Impressions from the Welcome Event

While the Red Bulls from Salzburg and Munich are regular participants in this top international tournament, it's a tournament debut for EHC Biel-Bienne. HC Dynamo Pardubice is making its second appearance in this select group of participants; the Czech team first took part in 2011 and, then known as HC ČSOB Pojišťovna Pardubice, finished fifth out of eight teams.

"We're excited that it's finally starting. This tournament is really important, and we're ready. We're especially motivated for the game against Munich, which naturally brings more emotion. I hope the arena is packed, and we'll be playing to win. We've made a lot of good progress in the right direction recently, and that's how we're approaching the tournament; we want to improve with each game."

Nick Poisson is also looking forward to his debut with EC Red Bull Salzburg after the 25-year-old Canadian's visa arrived today.

Red Bull Duel in the Second Semifinal

While the two Red Bull teams from Salzburg and Munich have always played their semifinal games simultaneously on the first day of the tournament, this year the second semifinal will feature a clash between the two rival teams. EHC Biel-Bienne and HC Dynamo Pardubice will play the first semifinal. The winners of the two semifinal games will compete in the final on the second day of the tournament for the tournament title. The third-place game will take place beforehand.
