Peter Hochkofler is out
Following thorough medical examinations and in close consultation with the medical team, it has been determined that any athletic activity is currently not responsible. The athlete's full recovery and long-term health are the top priorities.
Helmut Schlögl, Managing Director Pro: "This is a difficult situation for all of us, but ultimately the decision was unavoidable. We will give Peter our full support on his road to recovery and wish him all the best."
Hochkofler joined the Red Bull Ice Hockey Academy at the age of 15 and has played for the Red Bulls' professional team since 2015. This makes him one of the longest-serving players in the Salzburg organization. This season, he was sidelined for a long time by two consecutive injuries and only played his first league game on December 28th. After just eight games (1 goal), the season is unfortunately already over for the characterful player. Hochkofler is currently undergoing further examinations to determine his next steps in medical treatment.
