Red Bulls vs. EC-KAC
After yesterday's loss in Budapest, the Red Bulls need to improve significantly, as KAC has been on a good run recently and has moved up to second place in the standings halfway through the regular season. The Red Bulls, on the other hand, want to fight their way back from seventh place into the top six playoff spots.

Current Situation
Before the 24th game of the regular season (Klagenfurt has already played 24 games), the Red Bulls are back in seventh place, having briefly held a playoff spot after their victory in Innsbruck last Sunday. However, Salzburg failed to maintain their strong performance yesterday in Budapest. They only managed to glimpse their potential, and that wasn't enough for FTC Telekom Budapest, who prevailed 2-1.
The fact that the Red Bulls have already beaten KAC twice this season is certainly good for their confidence. However, for the third encounter with KAC, they will need a significant improvement and a cohesive team performance, as the Carinthians have stabilized well in recent weeks, most recently securing victories against VSV (4-1) and yesterday in Bruneck against HC Pustertal (4-0!).
Defense can be decisive
In a comparison of the two teams, KAC is significantly ahead of the Red Bulls in goals scored. Their 85 goals are the second-best in the league, while Salzburg is ranked eighth with 67 goals. However, in terms of defense, only the Graz99ers, currently league leaders, are better, having conceded 54 goals compared to the Red Bulls' 55. KAC is fifth in this ranking with 63 goals against.
