Moser Medical Graz99ers vs. Red Bulls
This is the first meeting of the season with the Styrian team, who have a new head coach as of today. The Red Bulls are looking to bounce back from yesterday's 2-6 loss against ERC Ingolstadt and get back to winning ways.

Background
For the first time this season, the Red Bulls face the Graz99ers, who, after 16 rounds, sit in fifth place with 29 points, ahead of the sixth-placed Red Bulls with 25 points. The Red Bulls are desperate to get back on track to close the gap to the top of the standings and stay in contention for a direct playoff spot. Equally important is quickly consolidating their position after four recent losses in the CHL (including a 2-6 defeat yesterday in Ingolstadt) and the ICE Hockey League, and to unleash their full potential as a team.
The Graz99ers are also currently underperforming, which recently led to a coaching change. However, in their last two games before the international break – with Sports Director Philipp Pinter serving as interim coach – the Styrian team got back on track, winning 4-3 in overtime in Budapest and 4-3 in a penalty shootout in Bolzano. The clash between these two teams, currently next to each other in the standings, is highly anticipated, with the "Bunker" in Graz proving to be a happy hunting ground for the Red Bulls over the past two seasons. All four games there have ended in a Salzburg victory.
New Coach in Graz
Just today, the Graz99ers introduced Dan Lacroix as their new head coach, replacing Harry Lange. The 56-year-old Canadian and former NHL forward has been coaching since 2003 and, after many years as an assistant coach in the NHL with the Cologne Sharks (2018/19), also gained experience in the DEL (German Ice Hockey League). Following further years coaching in the QMJHL and most recently with the Lithuanian U18 national team, Lacroix is now making his debut as a head coach in the ICE Hockey League.

Statement by Mario Huber
"We will draw the right conclusions from yesterday's defeat. Graz is a top club and will demand everything from us. We simply have to skate harder and keep our sticks on the ice to avoid penalties. It's a good moment to show who we really are and make sure we pull ourselves out of this little slump together."
