After the Danes took the lead again, the Red Bulls had several chances to equalize, but repeatedly fell behind due to numerous penalties and ultimately were unable to add to their lead. The Red Bulls remain on six points in the standings. The final game of the CHL Regular Season will take place on October 15 at the Salzburg Ice Arena against the Eisbären Berlin.

The home team surprised the Red Bulls in Odense with an early lead. After just 26 seconds, Mason Klee buried the puck into the Salzburg net from a full-speed run. After that, the Red Bulls gained control of the game, but the Danes remained aggressive. Thomas Raffl tried a shot on the turn right in front of the goal on the power play (7th minute), and goalie Niklas Lundström was alert. Salzburg goalkeeper Atte Tolvanen then parried Maksim Popovic's powerful shot from the mid-slot (11th minute). The Red Bulls equalized on their second power play, with Connor Corcoran taking aim from the blue line and scoring to make it 1-1 (13th minute). The game continued to go back and forth, with both teams creating further good opportunities. The Red Bulls had more possession, while the Danes mostly used counterattacks. After 20 intense minutes, the teams went to the locker room with the score tied at 1-1.
In the second period, the Red Bulls initially focused exclusively on defense. In the first ten minutes, they drew four penalties and played 3-on-5 for 80 seconds, all without conceding a goal. But a short time later, with the team on the same level, Jeppe Jul Korsgaard pulled the puck under the crossbar from a tight angle and fired Odense back into the lead (32nd minute). After that, it was only the Red Bulls who played, moving the puck in the offensive zone and taking a lot of shots on goal. However, the puck wouldn't go in, and Atte Tolvanen made one more save shortly before halftime when Markus Oden found himself alone in front of him after a Salzburg defensive error (40th minute). After 40 minutes, the Red Bulls trailed 2-1.
In the final period, Salzburg continued to push forward, punctuated by counterattacks from the home team. Michael Raffl then equalized after a short solo effort (47th minute). Bad luck for the Red Bulls after that, as three consecutive players couldn't get through directly in front of the goal (48th minute). The Danish goal became increasingly tight, with the Red Bulls now shooting from all angles. But in the closing stages, two more Salzburg penalties followed, denying the Red Bulls their last chance to tie the game. They ultimately lost 2-1 to the combative Danes, suffering their third defeat in the CHL.

"We weren't good enough. We made too many mistakes, didn't create enough offensively, and didn't score any goals. And then we took some stupid penalties. It was a chance for us, so we have to put that behind us and then take advantage of the next one."
