Rögle BK to face EV Zug in the Red Bulls Salute final The Swedes won the semi-final against EHC Red Bull Munich 4-1// Red Bulls Salute EHC Red Bull Munich suffered a 1-4 defeat against Rögle BK in a highly intense second semifinal match of the Red Bulls Salute in Zell am See-Kaprun. This means that the two Red Bull clubs from Salzburg and Munich will meet again on Saturday in the match for third place (3:00 p.m.). The final will be contested by EV Zug and Rögle BK at 7:00 p.m.

Match report
Red Bull Munich and Rögle BK played a heated game. The Swedes dominated the early stages and took the lead shortly after Leon Bristedt's goal (8th minute). Munich then fought back and forced the equalizer, with former Salzburg player Ryan Murphy skillfully scoring to make it 1-1 at the break (11th minute). At the start of the second period, the Swedes took advantage of a five-minute power play and left Munich goalkeeper Mathias Niederberger with no chance on a 2-on-1 attack (22nd minute). But the Red Bulls fought their way back into the game and were now largely on par with Rögle BK. The Swedes once again showed their skills in another period of pressure, but the Red Bulls continued to have high-quality chances, even hitting the metal once.
However, the Munich team lacked composure in front of goal, as there were now enough chances to equalize. In the 47th minute, however, the Swedes increased their lead to 3-1 when Frederik Olofsson scored into a half-empty net after a rebound. Munich continued to fight back, but Simon Zether's fourth goal for Rögle (53rd minute) sealed the deal. Red Bull Munich ultimately lost 1-4 after a great fight and will face EC Red Bull Salzburg on the second match day, just like last year, when Salzburg won the third-place playoff 4-2.
