New start for Florian Baltram after injury season The versatile forward is entering his eleventh season with the Red Bulls// Team updateAfter an operation that could not be postponed at the beginning of September last year, the Lower Austrian (with a current contract) worked on his comeback every day and finally returned to the Red Bulls lineup on December 26, 2024. It was by far the longest injury break for the forward, who initially joined the Red Bull Hockey Juniors in 2015, but made his debut with the Salzburg professional team in the same season and played his tenth season with the Red Bulls this year. An ankle injury that had built up over a long period of time finally required surgery at the beginning of September 2024. It took 117 days for Baltram to play his first game in the win2day ICE Hockey League. In the remaining 19 basic round games and 13 playoff games, he recorded 2 goals and 12 assists.
Highlights Florian Baltram
Once back on the ice, Baltram showed his usual skills after a short acclimatization phase. As a fighter and forechecker, equipped with good stickhandling, but also always ready to do the so-called ‘dirty work’ for his line mates. After five championship titles with the Red Bulls and a wealth of experience, the offensive player, who can be deployed as a center or winger, will once again be an important building block for the team structure in the coming season and, at 28, is in the best age to play another top season.
