Ryan Murphy leaves the Red Bulls The defender is looking for new challenges after two titles with Salzburg// Team updateRyan Murphy's time with EC Red Bull Salzburg is coming to an end after two successful years. The 32-year-old Canadian was an important cornerstone in the Red Bulls' defense with his routine and wit. Equipped with a lot of experience from the NHL and KHL, Ryan Murphy came to Salzburg in 2023 and immediately showed his qualities. With a great overview in defense, he also made an unusually strong contribution to the offense and shone both as a scorer and as a preparer in Salzburg's attacking play. In 112 league games, including the playoffs, the 32-year-old scored 18 goals and provided 71 assists.
Murphy also played a major role in Salzburg's international successes in the CHL with 10 scoring points in 15 games. After winning two titles in the win2day ICE Hockey League with the Red Bulls, the defender and father of one son now wants to change his sporting direction.
