Most successful season of the Red Bull Ice Hockey AcademyFour final appearances, three championship titles and a clear sign of sustainable work with young talent// NextLevelThe Red Bull Ice Hockey Academy can look back on an outstanding 2024/25 season - more successful in sporting terms than ever before. Four of the five academy teams reached the play-off final, three of which crowned their strong season with the championship title. This record underlines the high quality of the training work carried out in Salzburg on a daily basis.
While the Red Bull Hockey Juniors missed out on the play-offs in the Alps Hockey League, the opportunity arose to return players to their original academy teams. This strategic measure brought additional stability, leadership and depth, particularly in the younger age groups - with a clearly visible effect.

U20 AKA: Sovereign title win in the ÖEHV International League
The Academy's U20 team was in top form in the decisive phase of the season. After a dominant semi-final against EC VSV, Antti Aarnio and Tommi Rouvali's team left no stone unturned in the final against EC-KAC. Three wins in a row - including a shutout in the last game - meant a well-deserved championship title. The success was an expression of a consistently strong team performance throughout the season.

U18 AKA: Defending the title with classy play
The U18 team also proved its quality. After two strong performances in the semi-final against Budapest, the team faced the Nordic Hockey Academy in the final. Under the direction of coaching duo Manuel Latusa and Klaus Romera, the team impressed with a sweep and dominated the last final game in particular with a clear 6:0 victory. Defending the title was the well-deserved reward for a cohesive, disciplined performance throughout the season.

U17 AKA: runners-up with development potential
The Academy's U17 team qualified for the final of the U17 league organized by the ÖEHV. Even though they fell just short of the title, the team showed great potential and took important steps towards development. The runner-up title is an expression of the breadth and depth of the junior team's work - and gives hope for future success.
U16 AKA: Historic championship title in the Czech U15 Extraliga
The U16 team - made up of players born in 2010 - set a very special milestone when the youngest team in the academy secured the championship title in the Czech U15 Extraliga for the first time since joining the league. After an impressive basic round, the team remained unbeaten in all playoff rounds: 9 wins from 10 games, including an impressive final sweep against HC Kometa Brno. This success underlines the extraordinary development that is possible even in the youngest age groups.
