Initial situation
Laws in the series? Are difficult to discern between Salzburg and Klagenfurt. In the basic round, the Red Bulls were unable to win in Klagenfurt; yesterday's first final game was completely different, where the Red Bulls - as in last year's final series - 'stole' the home advantage in the series in Klagenfurt. In contrast to the previous season, the Red Bulls now want to be successful again in the first final home game, but are equally prepared for a fight to the death.
Of great importance is the defense, with which the Red Bulls held their own against the dangerous Klagenfurt powerplay yesterday in Klagenfurt.
Evenly matched lines
Just how evenly matched both teams are is also shown by the balance in the lines. Even though the top lines have been responsible for the majority of goals scored throughout the season, each line is capable of putting pressure on the opposition and scoring. The first two goals in yesterday's game, Klagenfurt's Finn van Ee and Salzburg's Mario Huber, were scored by forwards who - at least on paper - were on the fourth line.
