The Red Bulls, who have picked up 9 out of a possible 12 points in their last four games despite a large number of absentees and a significantly rejuvenated squad, also want to get back to winning ways at the bottom of the table after yesterday's defeat in Vienna.

Starting position
The Red Bulls have had to replace up to eleven injured or sick regular players in recent games, but with the support of some young players from the Red Bull Hockey Juniors - two of whom were making their debut in the Salzburg professional team - they have put in a more than respectable performance. After victories against Villach, Graz and Klagenfurt, the Red Bulls were beaten 3:5 in Vienna yesterday, but would have deserved at least extra time there as well.
In the last game of the basic round against the Innsbrucker Haie, the Red Bulls want to get back on the scoreboard immediately and secure their fourth win of the season against the Tyroleans, who are in last place in the table. After a difficult season, Innsbruck suffered another setback yesterday with a 3:11 defeat in Klagenfurt. Nevertheless, the Red Bulls have been warned, because even if Innsbruck no longer have a chance of making the pre-play-offs, they will give their all in front of their own fans to give the Austrian champions a run for their money.
Duell der Rumpfteams
Beide Clubs haben im Moment mit vielen Ausfällen zu kämpfen. Neben zwei Spielern, die den Club bereits verlassen haben, fehlten den Innsbruckern gestern in Klagenfurt neun weitere rekonvaleszente Spieler, darunter auch die Torhüter Evan Buitenhuis und Markus Gratzer.
Etwas Entspannung zeichnet sich indes bei den Red Bulls ab. Ali Wukovits gibt morgen in Innsbruck nach knapp zweieinhalb Monaten Verletzungspause sein Comeback. Erst gestern ist schon Niki Kraus nach gleich langer Pause wieder in den Wettkampfmodus zurückgekehrt. Auch Florian Baltram und Benjamin Nissner haben sich wieder fit gemeldet. Weiterhin nicht dabei sind Thomas Raffl, Philipp Wimmer, Phillip Sinn, Lucas Thaler, Peter Schneider und Lukas Schreier, der sich gestern eine Unterkörperverletzung, die noch abgeklärt werden muss, zugezogen hat. Troy Bourke bleibt fraglich.

“I'm just happy to be able to play ice hockey again. I haven't had that many intensive training sessions with the team yet, so it's difficult to get used to the pace of the game. But I've been challenged well by the boys and I feel ready. Innsbruck is dangerous because the players will certainly show character and want to offer themselves for further challenges. And they certainly want to redeem themselves in front of their own fans after the last tough defeat, so we definitely have to play our best game.”
