Red Bulls back in schoolFirst school visit of the pros led to VS Viehhausen// Fans of the FutureFor many years, professional players of the Red Bulls have been visiting schools in the Salzburg area as part of the "Fans of the Future" project and reporting on their exciting and beautiful life as an ice hockey professional.
How does ice hockey work? A simple question that would take hours to answer. Florian Baltram and Paul Stapelfeldt did a good job on Wednesday in class 4a of the Volksschule Viehhausen and eventually answered all questions.
"Well, you try to pass the puck to your teammates and then shoot it into the goal at the end," Florian explained. And is it hard to do? That was easier to answer. Paul: "It's like with all things in life. If you want to do it well, you have to practice a lot. And the practice never stops, but it's also a lot of fun."

The 24 children with class teacher Mrs. Imser - later the 4b also came briefly - were well prepared and even had pictures and small crafts prepared for the reception of the players, who also took all the time to fulfill every autograph wish of the children.
The children were overjoyed when they were invited to a home game of the Red Bulls in the win2day ICE Hockey League. There they can convince themselves how ice hockey works and whether Florian and Paul have practiced well.
Paul's journey into the past
For Paul Stapelfeldt, the school visit in Viehhausen was a very special experience, because only a few years ago the now 1.95 meter tall defender of the Red Bulls himself sat in the school class and listened to the stories of the former professionals. Now he was standing for the first time as a 'teacher' in front of a class and told about his life as a professional.

In 2008 as a primary school student in the Salzburg Akademiestraße - he already trained in the youth of the Red Bulls at that time - he showed with Thomas Koch and Philipp Pinter how to put on an ice hockey equipment (on the team photo in the white helmet). Four years later, in 2012 at the BRG Akademiestraße, he was delighted with the visit of Thomas Raffl - he stands directly in front of him - and Florian Mühlstein. Who would have thought at the time that he would one day play side by side with Thomas Raffl in the pros and celebrate titles...
