Simon Wolf put in a strong performance in his debut with the Red BullsThe 19-year-old German goalkeeper after his professional debut with the Red Bulls// PortraitIn the last two games of the ICE Hockey League before the international break, Simon Wolf unexpectedly got his first two professional games with the Red Bulls and did really well. Let's take a look back...
It was not only the goalkeeper, but also his Red Bull Hockey Juniors colleagues Devin Steffler, Lukas Hörl, Maximilian Wurzer, David Cernik and the Finn Kalle Myllymaa who stepped in to the professional team in the last two games due to many sickness-related absences and did more than a good job. First the difficult away game against last year's final opponent in Bolzano (0:3) almost to 'get into' the league and then the incredible home game against the Black Wings Linz, in which the Red Bulls celebrated a 2:1 victory after overtime and showed an inspiring performance as a team.

Particularly in the spotlight was Simon Wolf, who put a stop to several high-ranking shots from the guests - including league top scorer Graham Knott and league perennial Brian Lebler - and exceeded himself with a save percentage of 93.3%.
Simon Wolf: "My debut in Bozen was actually quite good, considering the roster we had there, we played it well. And then the victory against Linz on Sunday. That was definitely one of the best games I've ever played. Also in terms of atmosphere, it was pure adrenaline."
In five years in the Red Bull Ice Hockey Academy, the 19-year-old has also completed numerous training sessions with the professionals and taken tips from the veterans. "The guys help me on the ice and correct me if they notice something. But of course Kerschi [Markus Kerschbaumer], the goalkeeping coach, helps me enormously.
